Microsoft initially intended for buy windows 10 to die when the ball dropped on New Years Eve -08, however the OS has got a reprieve - for now at least. The brand new cut off date for licenses will be May 20, 2009.

How's that for hard for Microsoft. Generally when Microsoft launched a new OS, that old one is shuffled out of the door by manufacturers. That changed when craptastic Vista launched. Thankfully, the operating-system has at least reached a point of usability but the proven fact that some PC makers still offer Or windows 7 - sometimes in a pricey premium too iexcl;sect;C implies that the Windows world isn't too happy about Windows. Or windows 7 runs so well on a number of hardware where Vista doesn't even like some brand new systems. You never know if this sounds like the last delay of death for that OS. Early versions of Windows 7 are slated for launch in 09 so maybe buy software online will keep XP around until 7 may take its place.
