Get the apps on your Start screen to set up with windows 10

When you upgrade to Windows 8.1 you will see Tiles for all the apps you had installed (and if you choose the Start screen layout from another windows 8 enterprise PC you will see the tiles for the apps you'd installed on that PC).

I am not saying you really have those apps, however. Look carefully and you'll see an arrow in the corner of some tiles, or maybe they're around the All Apps screen they'll say 'install' underneath the app name. You have a placeholder for the app, not the app itself. Just tap the tile and Windows 8.1 will install the app in the Store for you.

The first time you begin using Windows Store apps you will see pop-up tips explaining how to open the visio 2010 professional bar and switch between apps. Aoyingly, you'll keep seeing them if you don't follow their instructions at least once. To prevent the guidelines from appearing, simply follow their instructions once and they'll disappear.

Adding the folders you utilize to the libraries in Windows means you get to choose where files live, however, you can continue to find them quickly, particularly in Store apps.

But Windows 8.1 hides Libraries in Explorer. To place them back in the navigation pane, open the View tab around the ribbon and select 'Options,' then 'Change Folder' and search options, then place a tick alongside 'Show libraries'.
